We‘re proud to introduce Strive Tuition — an exciting new step in our mission to support young people in reaching their full potential. Building on over 15 years of experience working within local Medway schools, this new venture brings high-quality, teacher-led tutoring to help students grow in confidence, ability, and independence.
At Strive, we’re passionate about raising aspirations for children across Medway, and we have a strong understanding of the Medway Test (11+) process and the local educational landscape. We believe confidence is the key to success — and our small-group sessions, experienced educators, and supportive, personalised approach ensure every child feels seen, encouraged, and ready to thrive.

Strive Tuition Co-ordinator and Tutor
As a committed and enthusiastic educator, I have dedicated nearly 10 years to teaching upper Key Stage 2 students in Medway. My passion for education and my drive to inspire a love of learning have been at the heart of my career in this vibrant community.
Over the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of leading the English and Reading curriculum, and for three years, I’ve also supported local schools as a Writing Moderator for Medway Council. These roles have deepened my understanding of how children learn best and strengthened my commitment to high-quality, child-centered education.
With a wealth of experience in designing engaging and evidence-based curriculums, I aim to make learning not only effective but enjoyable. I believe that education should be dynamic and relevant, filled with creativity, curiosity, and real-life connections that help children make sense of the world around them.
Outside the classroom, I’m often exploring nature trails, travelling to discover new cultures, or lifting weights at the gym. But more often than not, you will find me lost in a good book. My love of reading began in school with the thrilling adventures of Darren Shan, and that spark has stayed with me ever since.
I also know firsthand how challenging school can be. As a child, I struggled—particularly with English. That experience has shaped the way I teach today. I understand how important it is for every child to feel confident and supported. My goal is to make learning a positive, empowering journey for all children—one that helps them believe in themselves and enjoy the process of discovery.

How It Works
Our supportive approach ensures every child is on track and receiving the right guidance for success.
Start Immediately
No pre-assessment required! Your child can begin learning right away in our supportive environment.
Early Evaluation
After six weeks, we invite parents for a 10–15 minute meeting to share our initial feedback.
Progress Review
At 12 weeks, students complete a mini-assessment, followed by a discussion to evaluate progress and tailor future learning.
Our Homework Approach
Building Independence
We implement a consistent homework strategy to reinforce class learning and build independent study skills. From the outset, it's essential that students complete their homework independently.
This approach is vital for accurately identifying areas where they may be struggling, allowing the tutor to provide targeted support throughout their learning journey.
Detailed Feedback
All work is carefully reviewed and includes comments highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement. We maintain a balance between encouraging confidence and identifying knowledge gaps.
Parents are encouraged to review the marked assessments to better understand their child's progress.
